### UPDATE - EVENT MOVED TO NAROPA UNIVERSITY TO ACCOMODATE HIGH PARTICIPATION DEMAND! EVENT NOW STARTS @ 1:30pm and is still on 5/11 ###

"Mindfulness" has become a buzzword in the popular culture and is now regularly featured in places ranging from the Harvard Business Review to the local coffee house. Most of the time, it’s brought up in the context of stress management and relaxation. As anyone in the startup world knows stress is constant.  But that’s only half the picture…

The other half of the picture is augmenting performance - how can mindfulness tools be employed by entreprenuers to gain and maintain an edge for themselves and their start-up? Brought to you by Mark Williams, a former F-15 pilot, Gulf War combat vet and long-time practitioner of meditation, martial arts and entrepreneurship, this presentation shows how top performers can optimize across the board through the practice of mindfulness.

Mark focuses on and directly trains three key competitive talents: the ability to proactively manage stress and anxiety; the ability to maintain focus, concentration and awareness under duress; and the ability to function smoothly as leader or member of a team. This presentation introduces the “OODA Loop” – the high performance paradigm of fighter jet flying – and combines it with the science of mindfulness, hands-on experiential exercises, and stories of high performerresults to show how mindfulness impacts performance and well-being.
